Millcreek Township To Review Limited Lodging

House

During the Supervisor Meeting on September 13, 2022, a plan for a separate limited lodging ordinance was formally introduced. In April 2022, Millcreek adopted a new Zoning Ordinance which permitted Limited Lodging in certain zoning districts and a Limited Lodging overlay. While the Zoning Ordinance prescribes certain regulations on these rentals, it is limited by the parameters of what can be regulated through Zoning. This separate ordinance allows for additional regulations.

Some of the proposed additions in the ordinance include an annual permit, standardized contact information and photographs of the interior/exterior.

"The provisions in the new ordinance are written to protect the peace, health, and welfare of Township residents and bring registration requirements and regulations to these uses.”  Matt Waldinger, Director of Planning and Development said.
