Uniform Construction Code

The Uniform Construction Code (UCC) took effect on July 6, 2004. Millcreek Township began administering and enforcing the Uniform Construction Code on July 6, 2004. The deadline for Pennsylvania municipalities to take action was July 8, 2004.

Adoption of the Code

The Pennsylvania General Assembly adopted the Pennsylvania Construction Code to establish uniform standards governing construction. The General Assembly has required that municipalities decide either to enforce the UCC or not to enforce the UCC, but the uniform standards apply either way.
