Frequently Asked Questions
Parks and Recreation Programs

1.    Why are you changing the way we register for the program?

Our waiting list for programs after the first day of registration have been minimal.  Our website is providing information on registration, class listings, class closings, material supplies lists, etc.

2.    How will registrations be processed?

All registrations will be processed according to postmark date.

3.    How will I know if I am in the class I requested?

If you are not contacted by the Recreation Office either by phone or mail, you should go to the class you registered for.  All problems with registration will be handled as quickly as possible.

4.    How will I know if a class is full?

Class closings will be updated daily on our website at www.millcreektownship.com

5.    How do I obtain a supply list for a class?

All supply lists are also listed on our website.  If you do not have access to a computer, we will have the supply lists in the Parks and Recreation office.

6.    What if I register for 2 classes and only get 1?

The office will contact you as quickly as possible.  At that time, you may be given the choice of taking another class or a refund.

7.    What if I don't know what level to put my child in for swim class?

All 3, 4, and 5 year old beginner swimmers should register in Preschool A.  Six year olds and up who are apprehensive toward the water should register in Level 1B.  Six year olds and up who are not apprehensive about the water should register in Level 2.  If your child has had previous lessons and you are unsure of the level, please look at what is required under swimming pre-requisites.  You also could attend an open swim and have a Water Safety Instructor test the child's abilities to determine the level they should be in.
**** NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AT MIHS POOL****

8.    When will non-residents be able to register?

A date will be in the brochure stating the postmark date that you can mail in registration.

9.    Can I still register in the Recreation Office?

Not until the specified date listed in the brochure.  The office is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Please do not call and ask if a friend of you child is registered in a class.  No information will be released about the children in our programs.

***Because of the large volume of mail we will be processing for registration, we are asking that you check our website before calling the office.  Most of your questions can be answered on the website.***

*** All Gold Card holders must register before they attend the first class.  Registration in a class is how we determine when a class is full.***
