Upon motion by     Mr. Arthur F. Detisch    , seconded by     Mr. Paul J. Martin    , the following ordinance was duly enacted,   2   voting in favor of enactment,   0   voting against enactment.

 

ORDINANCE NO.    82-9

 

An ordinance approving the use of electronic speed timing devices, including “Speed-Chek”, “E.S.P.”, “Vascar” and other such devices approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; said devices would be used by the Millcreek Township Police Department for the purpose of enforcing traffic laws on public streets in Millcreek Township.

 

BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Supervisors of Millcreek Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania, and it is hereby enacted and ordained as follows:

 


SECTION 1.   Electronic speed timing devices, including “Speed-Chek”, “E.S.P.”, and “Vascar”, as well as other electronic speed timing devices duly approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, are authorized by use within Millcreek Township by the Millcreek Township Police Officers for the purpose of enforcing the various traffic laws in Millcreek Township as established by Pennsylvania “Vehicle Code” and/or duly enacted Millcreek Township Ordinances.

 

SECTION 2.   The Millcreek Township Police Department and its officers are authorized to operate and use the previously listed devices, and results obtained from said devices may be used in any judicial proceedings to establish the speed of motor vehicles on public roads and highways within Millcreek Township
