From 1941 to 1981, 17th & Harper Drive was an unpermitted landfill. Used for industrial and municipal waste, the site was closed by the EPA in 1981. Cleanup began in 1983 and construction of a cap, a golf course, wetlands and a flood retention basin began in spring of 2000 and were completed in September 2001.
The land now is a lush, beautiful 9-hole golf course with manicured fairways and greens. You can take lessons, join a league or just enjoy your time on the area's newest course. Please join us. (Gold Cards not accepted at golf course.)
A clubhouse houses the pro shop, restrooms, a classroom and a snack bar.
