Millfair Compost and Recycling Center
The Millfair Compost & Recycling Center is open for the 2017 season. March 24, 2017 - Sunday, December 10, 2017.

The Center, located at 2301 Millfair Road, is open SEVEN days a week from April through mid December. The Facility is closed on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Day.
Acceptable items include the following organic debris:
- Leaf Waste
- Tree Trimmings
- Non-Food Garden Residue
- Dead Flowers
- Christmas Trees
*These items will need to be emptied out of any containers or bags at the designated composting area.
Unacceptable Materials include the following materials:
- Ornamental Grasses
- Large Root Systems
- Food Garden Residue
- Wood Containing Metal or Nails
- Landscape Timbers
- Painted Processed Wood
*Please be sure to check all drop-off loads for shovels, chains, and scrap metal as these items severely damage our equipment!

Payment is required at the time of purchase. Payment options are as follows: Debit, Check, Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card). Cash may be used if pre-paid within the Municipal Recycling Office first.
Millfair Compost & Recycling Center Permits
This facility is a joint venture between Millcreek and Fairview Townships.
Residential Permits are required to help expedite the entry process for the Center. This permit is FREE of charge for Millcreek, Fairview, and West County (Albion, Girard, Girard Borough, Lake City, Springfield) residents to discard material from their primary residence. To obtain a residential permit, MILLCREEK residents should obtain their permit from the Millcreek Township Building, while FAIRVIEW & WEST COUNTY residents should obtain their permit at the Fairview Township Building. Permits DO NOT need to be reissued from year to year.
BUSINESS OR COMMERCIAL PERMITS:
Businesses and landscapers must purchase a Commercial Permit from the Millcreek Recycling Department in order to drop off organic loads. A one-time fee of $20 will be charged for your permit tag. You may obtain multiple permit tags for your fleet without additional permit costs incurred. Once you have received your permit, commercial entities are charged a drop-off fee per vehicle entering our facility.

Payment with debit card, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover), or check is REQUIRED at the time of purchase. Cash will NOT be accepted at the Millfair Check-In Booth, however cash payments WILL ONLY be accepted within the Millcreek Recycling Department.
