Millfair Compost and Recycling Center

The Center, located at 2301 Millfair Road, is open six days a week April 1 through mid December, additional hours will be posted at the gate if needed. The Recycling Center is closed on Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Leaf waste will be accepted as well as shrubbery, brush, non-food garden residue and tree trimmings. These items will need to be emptied out of any containers or bags at the designated composting area. Unacceptable Material: grass, ornamental grasses, sod, dirt, or anything that has a large root system attached, food garden residue along with bamboo and corn stalks.

• Bark Mulch, Screened $20.00/yd. + tax
• Bark Mulch, Unscreened $17.00/yd. + tax
• Leaf Compost $20.00/yd. + tax
• Logs (when available) $20.00/pickup truck load + tax
• Wood Chips (when available) Free

Payment is required at the time of purchase. Payment options are as follows: Debit, Check, Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card).

Commercial and Landscape are now being offered a "season rate" for drop off services. Contact the Recycling Coordinator at the Millcreek Municipal Building at (814) 833-1111 ext. 317.

 

Millfair Compost & Recycling Center Permits

This facility is a joint venture between Millcreek and Fairview Townships.

Residential permits are required to help expedite the entry process for the Center.  This permit is free of charge for Millcreek and Fairview residents to discard material from their primary residence.  To obtain a residential permit, stop in to you township municipal building, present your driver's license, and one will be issued for your use.

Business or Commercial permits are required if you have multiple properties, a business, or a landscape company. You may obtain a commercial permit for a $20.00 one time charge by stopping in the Recycling Department in the Millcreek Municipal Building.  For any questions, please feel free to call (814) 833-1111 Ext. 317.
